One of the biggest names in the automotive industry, Honda's portfolio includes garden equipment, marine engines, power product, and personal mobility devices, in addition to automobiles and motorcycles. It was founded by Soichiro Honda, who was a mechanical engineer at that time, together with his partner, Takeo Fujisawa who oversaw the financial and marketing aspects of the company in 1948. Honda began operation building motorized bicycles using surplus radiator engines from the war. It was in 1958 when Honda brought forward the famed 50cc Super Cub, which saw success and brought the company into first place among Japanese motorcycle manufacturers. Its first production automobile was the T360 truck in 1963, followed by the company's first car, the S500 four months later.
